The investigation took place in 2004 at Fund\u0103tura\u2013\u0218esu Mare (Cluj County). Both the content of the feature and its absolute dating place it in a late stage of the analyzed culture. The site is known in the specialized literature, but until now, the fortified nature of this settlement has not been specified. Harghita) se afl\u0103 situat geograf ic \u00een partea estic\u0103 a bazinului Transilvaniei, pe malurile r\u00e2ului T\u00e2rnava Mare. \u00cen anul 1973, la nord-vest de ora\u0219, \u00een zona de protec\u021bie hidrogeologic\u0103 de la <em>B\u0103ile Szejke <\/em>(hun. = <em>Szejkef\u00fcrd\u0151<\/em>), D\u00e1vid Carol Alad\u00e1r (din Ili\u0219ua, comuna Uriu, jude\u021bul Bistri\u021ba-N\u0103s\u0103ud) a descoperit un topor (celt, tipul \u201etran- silv\u0103nean\u201d) din bronz. In 1973, northwest of the city, in the hydrogeological protection zone at <em>B\u0103ile Szejke <\/em>(hun. = <em>Szejkef\u00fcrd\u0151<\/em>), D\u00e1vid Carol Alad\u00e1r (from Ili\u0219ua, Uriu commune, Bistri\u021ba-N\u0103s\u0103ud county) has discovered a bronze socketed axe (\u201eTransylvanian\u201d \u00a0type). Research in the field brought to light 8 Sarmatian inhumation graves. The orientation of the graves is in the S-N direction, less than three of them that have the orientation in the W\u2013E direction. \u00a0Several pieces of jewelry such as brooches, bracelets, rings, beads were identified as funerary inventory; household items \u2013 knife, ceramic dishes; farm tools \u2013 sickle and a single coin.The brooches are two in number, one of iron with a length of 5 cm, the spring measures 3.5 cm, the spring has dimensions in section of 1 x 0.5 cm, the section being oval. The head of the brooch is represented by a button with a diameter of 0.7 cm and a bronze brooch of type 32a2a1. Bracelets were identif ied in number of 4, two of them being decorated. Two rings were found in grave Cx 75\/M5, one ring type and the other band type. The beads are monochrome, opaque globular glass, biconical, rectangular \u00a0with 4 and 6 facets, they vary in color from white, blue, green, orange, cherry and black. In addition to the glass beads, some beads made of limestone have been identified. Among the household pieces, a knife blade and 4 dishes were identified, one being hand-moulded, the other 3 being wheel-moulded from gray paste. Les fouilles arch\u00e9ologiques occasionn\u00e9es par les travaux de r\u00e9novations de 2011 se sont concentr\u00e9s dans une premi\u00e8re phase sur les vestiges mises en lumi\u00e8re par la r\u00e9paration des \u00e9gouts, travaux qui ont crois\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie des tombeaux situ\u00e9s aux alentours des fondations du b\u00e2timent actuel. Pour v\u00e9rif ier la position des s\u00e9pulcres, on a ouvert trois casettes qui coupaient deux murs perpendiculaires sur la face longitudinale \u00a0du b\u00e2timent, consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme fondations du portique situ\u00e9 de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9 du couvent. These records highlight a collaboration between the episcopate and the local elite in various aspects, such as the ordination of priests, consecration of liturgical spaces, conf irmation of parish priests, collection of church taxes, reinforcement \u00a0of wills, resolution of disputes under canon law, defense of the kingdom boundaries, and management of relations with other political actors. On the other hand, attempts by the bishops to disregard the right of patronage owned by local communities or to increase the taxation were met with f irm resistance, often sup- ported by other members of the Saxon <em>\u201cspiritual university\u201d<\/em>. As it results from his memoirs, Raul Dona symbolizes both the position of the military doctor devoted to the health service and of the husband and father willing to protect his family from the diff iculties of the war. His diary is a diagnosis of the Romanian society in which the author highlights events of the war as well as of everyday life with its joys and disappointments.
